If you are new to freelancing and have registered as a self-employed individual to BIR, you may need to pay some initial fees. This can be done easily using e-wallets like GCash and Paymaya.
Here’s how.
Paying BIR Registration Fee through Gcash
- Log in to your Gcash account.
- Tap Pay Bills. Then, tap the Government icon.
- Look for BIR in the list of billers.
- Fill out all the fields.
- Details must be as follows if you are paying for the ₱500.00 Registration fee and ₱30.00 Documentary Stamp Tax (DST)
*Return period is the end year of the current year you are paying for (i.e. I registered 2022, thus return period is 12312022). ***
*Branch code must be “00000”
*Form series and Form Number should be 0600 and 0605 respectively.
***For BIR registration renewal, follow the same steps above but please make sure that you change the return period. BIR Registration renewal is every January of the year. Thus, the return period must reflect the current year you are paying the registration for.

Paying BIR Registration Fee through Paymaya
- Log in to your Paymaya account.
- Tap Pay Bills. Then, tap the Government icon.
- Look for BIR in the list of billers.
- Note the BIR TIN and branch code reminders and instructions. Follow accordingly.

*RF – Registration fee
*Check the last 3 digits of your TIN number for the branch code (XXX-XXX-XXX-XXX). The first nine numbers are your actual TIN, and the last three are for your branch code. This is different from the RDO code. Branch code is usually 000.
